Nunawading is a suburb located in the eastern outskirts of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It has a population of over 12,000 and is situated approximately 19 kilometers east of the Melbourne CBD.
The suburb was originally a farming area before becoming a residential area after World War II. Its name originated from the indigenous Wurundjeri people, and means "battlefield" or "plenty of kangaroos".
